Summary

• To have a listing on Google you need a proper sign outside your house / or business.
• If you do not want to have a proper permanent sign outside your house the alternative is to put down the area you cover.
• If you do not follow these guidelines then your listing will be hidden by Google.

What becomes fairly obvious is that Google struggles to implement this policy as you can see plenty of listings which do not comply i.e. people running businesses from their home addresses with no signs whatsoever.
