Vernier Springs and Pressings bought out JT Pearce Springs at the end of 2024. JT Pearce Springs is one of the many smaller springs making companies in Redditch. What surprised the new owners of JT Pearce Springs was how successful the website was. It was bringing in work week in week out and had been for since it was built.
That led them to me as the person who built the JT Pearce Springs website. Naturally they were keen to get a better website than their previous one, and I took the existing content and sorted that out.
One job was to ensure the pictures were correctly sized and not too big.
On the new Vernier website the pictures are 16:9 ratio. The benefit of that is they do not distort when viewed on a smartphone. Possibly not essential as springs and pressings literally do come in every shape and size but, they do not look better if they are not distorted.
Every month Vernier’s previous website supplier sent them a report, one of the pages mentioned the broken links? – If a website has broken links the best policy is to fix those links. The reason being Google prefers sites without broken links. They are inevitable from time to time, but when if they become broken they need fixing.
Fast Loading Website
All websites built by Website-Doctor.com are checked for the loading speed. This is of course a trade-off between text and photos. Just text will load very fast but look very dull. Too many images will be very engaging but might never get found if the sites takes a long time to load.
