In Droversโ Footsteps
When I left school I never seriously thought Iโd ever delve into another history book as long as I lived. But itโs quite amazing that, when presented as a means to an end the old history is not only fascinating, dammed useful. And so, 17 years after my last history lesson. I found myself poring over The Welsh Droverโs Roads – A History for the umpteenth time to try to fill yet another gap in the puzzle โ the tracing of a complete historic green road from south to the north of Wales, that formed (in many years past) the Black Mountains to Wrexham/Shrewsbury livestock route.
